Meet Mark Publico, Co-Founder
Mark’s journey with coffee is at the heart of Mellow Grooves, a name that celebrates the fusion of his two passions—music and coffee. Drawing from hands-on experience as a barista and team leader at Blue Bottle in Boston and Cambridge, he has mastered the art of preparing exceptional coffee and delivering outstanding service. Mark’s love for DJing runs just as deep; for over 20 years, he ran a successful mobile DJ business, creating memorable experiences, spreading good vibes, and connecting with diverse audiences through music.
Meet Anne Publico, Co-Founder
Anne brings a love of hospitality and innovation to every cup at Mellow Grooves. Her expertise in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects translates seamlessly to coordinating smooth, delightful coffee experiences for every event. Alongside Mark, she helped launch the coffee mobile cart, quickly becoming a favorite at community events for their warm service and quality beverages. Anne draws on more than 25 years in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry and holds degrees from Rutgers and Tufts University.

Why We're Called Mellow Grooves
The name "Mellow Grooves" is a heartfelt homage to Mark’s DJ roots, channeling the rhythm and energy of his prior mobile business into every cup he serves. In 2024, he and Anne launched their coffee mobile cart, blending his love for music and coffee into an experience that brings delicious drinks and genuine hospitality to each event.
Mark has more than 26 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry, and is a graduate of Rutgers University. His leadership ensures that every Mellow Grooves event features not only great coffee, but also a welcoming atmosphere and attentive service. His background in quality assurance and process improvement further elevates every aspect of the Mellow Grooves experience, making each gathering as memorable as a favorite song.
